The internet has stopped being fun a long time ago and I do appreciate you fighting the good fight. I think though that it's gonna be astronomically tough for me to convince people to jump ship from the chokehold of big social media due to their relatively low user base(even mySpace which by all means is considered a dead platform has more people using it monthly)
I wanted to believe that there was some hope for the future of the web but now that I am more familiar on how businesses works due to my degree I've become overly pessimistic
Sorry for the rant,it's just that reading the manifesto caused me some thoughts and needed to share them.

Understood, it's that as I see it, the negative response to many of the things being pushed on us make me believe at least a lot of good folks will get tired and move to alternatives. It's much harder to get people interested when the other guys promise everyone infinite growth levels of hype which was how things like facebook reached immense adoption.
I just studied what was going on in the space and concluded it was truly poisonous, and if at least a lot of people see it that way, it'll be that much more difficult for the grift boys to have their way
